Shopping '& Other Stories' and 'Zara'

Seeing as it's payday-week I may have given in to shopping temptations & broken my self-imposed spending ban.

First of all I discovered the amazing store that is & Other Stories. It's just round the corner from Liberty on Regent Street & is the luxury counterpart to H&M.  In keeping with the Scandinavian fashion powerhouse that is H&M & COS, the store is a veritable treasure chest overflowing with beautiful clothes, accessories, lingerie & beauty products. I couldn't justify them on this occasion but I LOVE this black bustier, gold ring, wine coloured tassel sandals & grey mohair beanie.

Instead I treated myself to a couple of staple jewellery pieces that will go with everything & have been adorning my hands & wrists ever since.

The gold ribcage ring & silver wave bangle came in at just £10 for the ring & £12 for the bangle, for the quality I think the price is amazing. Across the store they have definitely made an effort to keep prices as affordable as possible.

My next purchase was this pair of Zara boots.

I've been on the lookout for a new pair of heeled ankle boots for ages & I actually prefer these to the Ash Jalouse boots I was toying with buying. The fact that they were £29.99 was just an extra bonus!

I wore them to the Grazia event at the Harrods Fashion Lab earlier this week & they are far more comfortable than the four inch heel would suggest. They also come in black & sand but I'm glad I went for the khaki colour. The sludgey green is really versatile & neutral, working well to break up the all-black outfits I gravitate towards during the winter.

Have you made any new purchases? I love seeing what other people have been buying so please leave a link to your shopping posts or a comment below!

Fashion Haul & Packing for V Festival

A bit of a last minute post as we head off to V Festival today! We are very lucky to have been gifted a pair of VIP tickets from Very. Of course I couldn't help picking up a few pieces of festival appropriate fashion & thought I'd show you what I got as well as the other bits I'm taking with me.

Printed Tees, left- Primark, right- River Island

Pink off shoulder Dress- Cheap Monday

Wellies- Asos
These wellies are made by Hunter but at a fraction of the price (and also much lighter- Hunters are really heavy!)! I couldn't bring myself to fork out for Hunters seeing as I have my sights set on this beautiful Mulberry pair, which are more City appropriate for stomping about in snow, slush & rain this winter.

Cardis, left- Primark, right- JZD

Floral bandeau playsuit (Zara- old, similar here)

Tan ankle boots, navy floral shorts, extra belt, jewellery, scarf, lots of socks, floral headband.

Rings.
Pink crystal (Topshop- old), turquoise peace sign- Primark, pink stone- Primark, fine gold every size rings- Asos

Big waterproof black duffel bag to throw everything in (fits all my clothes, toiletries & a sleeping bag)- American Apparel

Given the weather forecast I'm also taking this spotty waterproof coat (Primark- Old).

Mini Boots Haul

I'm really enjoying the BB cream movement and have only heard good things about this particular one.  So far I've only just tested it on my hand but it seemed to blend into my skin really smoothly, leaves it feeling soft & has a nice fresh scent.

This is probably my most purchased item from Boots. I always have a couple of these on my bedside table or in the bottom of my bag. I can't fault them, they do the job and are so cheap. I had a lovely Shellac manicure at Christmas which was amazing while it lasted but has left my nails a bit worse for wear so I definitely need to give them a little TLC at the moment.

This brush has tapered edges and is nice and small - perfect for contouring cheek bones.

This product is really big on the blogging scene at the moment. I've heard so many good things about it so I thought I'd give it a go. It claims to correct imperfections and unclog pores. My skin's not too bad actually when it comes to blemishes but I always have one or two little imperfections at any given time that I would love to get rid of!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you thought of them. Hope you enjoyed!
