Lovely Evening at Bar 366 St John's Hill

Two Loves London were very kindly invited to Bar366 on St John's Hill, Clapham, London for an evening food & drinks. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely staff and were sat on an informal sofa and low table by a big open window, which was perfect on a beautiful early summer's evening. I went with my boyfriend Patrick last Friday after work.

We were given a carafe of delicious red wine and some popcorn while we soaked up the atmosphere and admired the quirky decor. We were tentatively topped up with refreshing cucumber infused water while we waited for some tasty treats to arrive.

Bar366 don't have a kitchen as such but they offer tempting cheese & charcuterie sharing plates which are very reasonably priced. They source their cheeses from Borough Cheese company (who I've written previously about here) and quality meats from well known Spanish food company, Brindisa

We were offered a mixed board served with delicious tomato bread & crackers. Patrick & I love this kind of food so we were over the moon when it arrived. The plate was made up of small pieces of delicious Comte, Monte Enebro (goats cheese), blue de gex (blue cheese), morbier (ash in middle) venison saussison, serrano ham, chorizo & lomo. Boards come served with a mini jar of onion chutney, red grapes & cornichons.

We were then offered a cocktail which we happily accepted and were delighted when they came in Marmite & mustard jars, aptly name "Marmite" & "Coolmans". They are with delicately flavoured with marmite & mustard infused vodkas. Eduardo, one of the owners, personally designs the cocktails and makes them with passion and pride.

Now, these cocktails had a bit of a kick so forgive me if my memory of the rest of the night becomes a bit blurry at this point! To our surprise another cocktail turned up while we popped outside, and this time one of them was in a flower pot with a huge tulip inside. It was a real show stopper!

And they kept coming...This time an Espresso Martini served in a cup & saucer as well as Smoked Whiskey served in a milk bottle, to be poured over the rocks rocks with a perfect orange peel twirl. Patrick drank the whiskey as I'm not a whiskey drinker but informs me it was truly gorgeous.

More cocktails at Bar 366
By this point Harriet had got wind of the amazing cocktails & so she whizzed over in a taxi with her boyfriend Dan.  After one or two more amazing cocktails we decided to call it a night before the staff would have had to carry us out of there!
We had a really lovely time at Bar366 on St John's Hill and very much appreciate the time & effort that was spent making our evening so pleasurable. I will be back again soon & really recommend anyone who's in the area to pop.
