Island Escape

"This land resembles no other place. Sardinia is something else. Enchanting spaces and distances to travel, nothing finished, nothing definitive. It is like freedom itself."
D. H. Lawrence

At the beginning of May I hopped on a flight to one of my favourite places in the world, an untouched island in the middle of the Mediterranean. Slightly run down and weathered by the strong sun & saltwater, Alghero is an antidote to shiny touristy destinations. The little town spreads along the coastline in miles of forest, beaches and bright turquoise sea. We spent the whole week doing nothing more than sunbathing, strolling and swimming as the island pace of life settled over us all. Once again I miss this little bit of paradise & can't wait to return again for iced beers and meter pizzas on the beach.
